Saturday, June 6 - 7:00 - 11:00 am The Birds Are Back A bird walk at the Horatio Colony Nature preserve led by Brad Blodget, author and retired ornithologist for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. Birds have arrived back from their winter quarters down south and they are nesting. The walk will hopefully site birds building their summer homes. Bring binoculars and wear good walking shoes. June 25 - 7:00 pm Hindu & Buddhist Art in South & Southeast Asia An exploration of the remarkable Indian Hindu and Buddhists cave temples at Ajanta, Elora and Elephanta and a consideration of the concepts they symbolize. After viewing these breathtaking sanctuaries cut into solid rock hillsides, we will trace Indian influences at Borobudur in Indonesia and the unsurpassed temple complex of Angkor Wat in Cambodia and ponder what insights these sites and their stories offer us today.
