Friday, August 26 - 7:00 pm New Hampshire Writers' Series Chattering Twitter feeds, ceaseless Facebook updates, floods of email, what's a writer (or reader) to do to make sense of it all? If the Slow Food Movement is about the celebration of the pleasures of the table and countering agribiz and fast food with attentively grown and raised local fare, then Slow Word is a rejuvenation of the pleasures of reading and writing and the realization that our words really do matter, both literally and figuratively. Writer, teacher and Whole Terrain Managing Director Rowland S. Russell will explore these themes through reading, story and discussion. Reservations required. |
