Come out to the Horatio Colony Nature Preserve and discover ways to reduce your impact on the earth while enjoying nature. This program will demonstrate techniques to reduce and prevent recreational impacts. Meet at the Horatio Colony Nature Preserve parking area off Daniels Hill Road in Keene (first pull off in left). Remember to bring sturdy walking shoes, water/snack, bug spray, long sleeve shirt and pants and hat. |

Saturday, July 16 - 10 am Orienteering for Beginners Ever wanted to feel more confident about wayfinding with a simple compass? We’re designing a Beginner’s Orienteering Course at the preserve this year; we’d like your help to test the new self-guided brochure! We’ll learn how to start at “putting red in the shed” and move forward to finding your way through the first of two self-guided routes. Best for adults and/or parents and their middle school-aged children. Meet at the Horatio Colony Nature Preserve parking area off Daniels Hill Road in Keene (first pull off in left).
